Ouch

Mom and Dad noticed that I had gotten a scratch on the side of my head the night of my birthday. I wasn't really bothering me any but they kept checking on it the last few days. They must have thought it was getting worse cause the took me to the doctor today. At first I thought I was going to get to go for a walk cause mom got out my leash but then we got in the truck and took off. I figured it out when I saw Milo, the dog at the doctors house. The doctors visit wasn't tooo bad, I guess. The doctor said I must have gotten scratched and it got infected somehow. I had to hold REALLY still because they shaved some hair off my head!!!! Then I got a SHOT!!! Now I have to take some pills, which isn't too bad because I get a treat along with it. Mom and dad also have to put this gooey stuff on my sore, I don't like it because it stings. :(
Here is some pictures of pitifull me with my "new look".

It looks worse than it is I think. It doesn't really bother me until they put on the gooey stuff. Well I had better go. It's my bed time.

Ow those hurt. I've had a couple. It is always embarassing when I scratch at them too much and I have to wear my "hat"....the cone head look you know.

Mom says when she lived in LA her dog there used to get them all the time from Black Widow Spider bites. Ouch!

Talon,
Don't you hate the sound of the clippers?! You were very brave. One time I had swimmer's ear and it bothered me so much that I kept scratching at the same place on my head where you have your problem. I got infected, but I wouldn't let the vet near me with those clippers. She finally snuck up behind me and gave me a shot that made me go to sleep for a few hours. When I woke up, I had a big bald patch on the side of my head, but I felt better!

Ouch!

Sometimes I scratch my eye when it itches and scratch the skin right off my eyelid. Then its the dreaded cone for another week. Hope you don't have to wear a cone too.

I have a big sore like that too. It's on my hip where I drag it since I can't walk anymore. Mom is struggling to keep the sore under control. She bought me some underwear to try to keep it covered. Sometimes my sore hurts and I lick it at night which I'm not supposed to do.
